Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

A superb adaptation of John le Carré’s brilliant, intricate Cold War spy novel, the film is a triumph. It’s packed with superb British actors, all at the top of their game, with the lengthy book skilfully condensed into just over two hours of riveting narrative.

With the news today, one almost longs for the Cold War.

The review (and preview) suggest this is "a British and European success story". That's exactly where we'd expect to find Brits and Europeans successfully collaborating -- on the silver screen, on the golf green. Not so much in Parliament. There, unfortunately, collaboration is going on, and well, you know what that means.
