Walking in Britain

Image: About My Area

Simon Richards wrote us that on Saturday he "was at the Prescott hill-climb - a Jaguar day in a stunningly beautiful place in the Cotswolds.?It was very much the best of British in every way - beautiful British cars in the heart of the country with friendly people, strawberries, local asparagus and good local beer".?On Sunday, my co-editor was walking the Clarendon Way. He, too, said it was very beautiful.

Clarendon Way starts beside the waters of the River Itchen in Winchester and wanders west through villages, meadows, forests, and the remains of royal hunting lodges. It ends near the River Avon at Salisbury Cathedral.

The walk raised money for Naomi House Children's Hospice.
