Go slow
Wine at Sharpham
The thousand year old Sharpham farm and vineyard in Devon is one of the hospitable places described in Alastair Sawday’s Go Slow England, which has just been released.
Sawday, a man whose publishing history suggests swift enterprise, has found go slow people around England. Friendly and relaxed, they live in the country and offer meals and accommodations - bedrooms that appeal to children, wood fires, and blackberry and apple crumble. Or English crafts. Or views over the River Dart and local bread and Sharpham cheese.
