Ribbet!
I heard a frog outside my window this morning, a funny hopeful sound croaking of spring.
Today UK and US scientists report discovering the 70 million year fossil of a frog that weighed 9 pounds. Nice to hear about the British-American teamwork, in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), but I am glad my frog is not the size of "a squashed beach ball".
The discovery supports the theory that Madagascar, India and South America were all once linked.
