Here's looking at you, kid - The Royal Society reports

The Royal Society reports that "Looking directly at someone makes you more attractive to them" (B: Biological Sciences Wednesday 7 November, 2007).

"Previous face preference research has mainly focused on physical attractiveness but this new research has investigated the effects of gaze direction, gender and expressions" on preferences.

Must be something to this, but who is looking at me and where and when and why will be pretty important, too.

The political implications are interesting. I'd like to see it addressed by the astute bloggers I know.

Speaking non-politically, it is lovely to be 'held' in the gaze of the one you love. . .
