Buckingham Palace annual summer opening

There are a number of British stories about children exploring unvisited rooms in great old houses. With 775 rooms, Buckingham Palace, The Queen's official residence, could easily be one of those houses.
The rooms open to visitors during the Annual Summer Opening in August and September are the State Rooms. They are furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova and Chantrey; Sèvres porcelain; and some fine English and French furniture.
