Dreamcoat with an amazing technicolor plan

The first I saw "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" was thirty years ago. I saw it again last year, and enjoyed its high energy and great songs all over again.

We’ve just learned that Andrew Lloyd Webber has talked with his "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" collaborator Tim Rice about mounting a production of the Dreamcoat in America and using it as the basis of a TV reality series in which he searches for a young unknown star. The composer thinks the series will be a success because TV has made so many young viewers excited by theatre. That’s good news about theatre.

The other news is that Lloyd Webber is working this summer to finish a sequel to Phantom of the Opera.
