Advice for the prince

The Prince of Wales recently said that the EU legislation which bans the sale of traditional British seeds in Britain is “crazy”. And so it is, said A.N. Wilson, writing in the Daily Mail. British gardeners should be able to grow and sell the seeds of native British plants.

Then, however, wrote Wilson, the prince spoiled it all “by whingeing” about the chorus of ridicule that often met his remarks. The prince, advised Wilson, “while he praises British cheese, British gardens and British rare breeds. . .should contemplate those British virtues, which saw many people through World War II, and some would say won it for us: pluck, good humour, and a strong unwillingness to complain.”

Good advice for the prince. Good advice for me.
