Brits on Broadway: a special relationship

Charles Spencer has a bubbly account of Brits on Broadway in the Telegraph.

David Hare's Vertical Hour has opened, admittedly to underwhelmed reviews, on 45th Street. Tom Stoppard's Coast of Utopia trilogy with 70 actors is playing at Lincoln Center. Richard Eyre has mounted Mary Poppins, a co-production between Disney and Cameron Mackintosh at the New Amsterdam Theater. Simon Gray's Butley is being revived. And John Doyle is staging another Sondheim classic, Company.

Americans seem sanguine about the "invasion".
